Reynolds American (Camel, Kool, Winston etc…) today confirmed the buying of the Swedish Niconovum, which makes nicotine gum and other nicotine replacement products for $44M.
Reynolds said he proudly bought Niconovum “to provide adult tobacco consumers with innovative cessation products that have the potential to reduce the risks of diseases and death caused by tobacco use”.
What he forgot to say it’s the total inefficiency of nicotine gum or patch to help quit smoking for the majority of smokers, and the prohibitive price!
For all smokers who want quit, reduce or find alternative to tobacco the only working product so far is call an electronic cigarette or e-cigarette (And by the way Ruyan is actively looking for a partner…).
